Mission Statement

The department will foster urban growth, development and revitalization with a cooperative spirit which reflects community values; strive for a better understanding of public goals; administer land development codes and the comprehensive plan; provide information and assistance to citizens regarding development within the City; develop and implement strategies to assist developers and revitalize the City; strive for consistent enforcement of City ordinances; promote quality housing; promote preservation of historic and natural resources, develop strategies and work with area businesses to revitalize the downtown area, and commit now and in the future to improve quality of life for citizens within the City of Marianna.
