PUBLIC EDUCATION

Apparatus Display
Apparatus can be brought to your location for demonstration.  Apparatus display includes a full explanation of how the fire truck works, equipment, equipment use, and firefighter protective equipment demonstration.

Fire Station Tours
Fire Station Tours provide an opportunity for people to visit the firehouse and the firefighters.  Tours are available for all ages.  Tours cover the day-to-day operations of the fire station, station tour, and apparatus tour.  Fire station tours give a unique insight into the life of a firefighter, as well as the opportunity to see all of our apparatus that are housed at Marianna Fire & Rescue Station #1.

Fire Safety Presentation
Fire safety presentations are an opportunity to teach all ages, both young and old, the basics of fire safety, life safety, and what to do in the event of a fire.

Rescue the Fire Dog

Rescue is a full-grown Dalmatian dog that was adopted in 2013, with the help of a generous donation by the Marianna Optimist Club. Like most Dalmatians, he is very smart, strong, and loyal.  Rescue’s job is to assist the firefighters of Marianna Fire & Rescue in teaching children and adults all about fire safety and what to do in case of a fire.
